Widyatama University held a Lecturer Forum with the agenda “Socialization of the Transfer of the International Trade Study Program from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) to the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Wednesday (17/05). The opening of this event began with remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dr. H. Nuryaman, S.E., M.Si., AK., C.A.
This lecturer forum was attended by the Chair of the Widyatama Foundation, Sri Juniati, S.E., MBA., Chair of the Widyatama Foundation, Roeshartono, S.T., MCEM., MBA. along with his staff, the Chancellor of Widyatama University, Prof. Dr. Dadang Suganda M. Hum., Deputy Chancellor for Higher Education’s Tri Dharma, Dr. R. Wedi Rusmawan Kusumah, S.E., M.Sc., Ak., CA., and Dean of FISIP, Widyatama University, Dr. Soni Akhmad Nulhaqim, S.Sos., M.Sc., who was also present as a speaker on this agenda.
The purpose of implementing this agenda is firstly for friendship and socialization and secondly as a celebration of the transfer of the International Trade Study Program from FISIP to FEB. Nuryaman said the background to the transfer of the International Trade Study Program to FEB was because it was supposed to be in an economic and business environment. FEB has also carried out this socialization for some time ago. Outreach to students and parents of students from the Study Program. International Trade for all forces was implemented last Monday (15/05).
From a perspective related to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Dadang said core business international trade science has two sides, the first from the Economic side and the second from the International Relations (HI) side. So the Economics-based curriculum and the International Relations curriculum must be able to color the International Trade Study Program. So, multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary bridges must create harmonization between economic trade and internationalization at FEB in the International Trade Study Program.
With the International Trade Study Program at FEB, on the one hand the curriculum must be linear with the economic context but on the other hand there must be international creation, so that we can create multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary. Because as a university, we must be able to create scientific novelty and novelty.
